More free publicity

Hi, fanbois and fangirls!

Keep on hatin' while you complain that others hate. Hypocrites.

Oh, and here's a good friend of theirs, whom I've posted about on the CF Hardcore LJ:

But yeah, goddamnit, you do have to deal with his presence in public spaces, even if he's acting like a little turd; you do have to recognize that because I have all that other stuff to do, I might be slightly less at the disposal of my employer for a few years (then again, no one should be at the disposal of their employer 24/7 anyway); you do need to deal with the times when I bring him into work because there is work I can't put off and there is no one else who can care for him on that day; and you do, I think, have an obligation to figure out social and economic policies that take into account the fact that this is not only my life, but the life of most adults at some point sooner or later. And in exchange, my friends, I and he have an obligation to deal with you when you have had a shitty day and are being a turd in a public space; or when you have to leave work early to pick up a friend at the airport or because you have opera tickets or a hot date; or when you have to call in sick; or when your illness turns out to be acute and far more expensive than any individual can afford; or when you get old and need to retire, and yadda yadda yadda.

...And note this: I am not saying you have to deal with children because someday they will deal with you; or that other people have to deal with you because you have dealt, or will at some point deal with them. I am saying we have to deal with each other because refusing to do so is wrong, anti-social, anti-human. Everything else comes after that.

And she's one of the leading lights of feminist bloggerdom. Not hard to believe, when you remember how Betty Friedan hung up on Elinor Burkett while Burkett was putting The Baby Boon together.

The movement has gone from "I Am Woman, Hear Me Roar" to "I Am Cow, Hear Me Moooooooo."

Below is more proof that celebs are contributing to the kidcentric society we live in. Look at this excerpt of People online. I guess breeders are more special because they are "closer to God". If we have to have a kids to be closer to God, God must not love us that much.

CAN'T WAIT!
Besides Spears's curvier figure (with Federline in Beverly Hills in March), there were plenty of clues about the couple's intentions. Writing on her Web site in November, Spears said, "The only thing I haven't done so far is experience the closest thing to God and that's having a baby. I can't wait!

I thought the exact same thing when I read that article. So, because I won't have kids, I won't be close to God? Religion according to Britney...thanks, but no. What a moron.

Forgive the anonymous post; I don't have a Blogspot account. Also (because someone is guaranteed to miss this), please note that when I use the word "you", I mean the author of the quoted post, not reginleif.

So, you consider your children to be the center of your universe. I understand and respect that; to some extent, I even expect it. However, the notion that your children should be viewed as the center of everyone's universe boggles my mind.

If I wanted my life ruled by a child, I would have had one. No, I'm not going to stay late so you can attend little Megan's soccer game; for all you know (or care) I might have my own plans... and even if I don't, my time is not yours to command. Note that I'm not asking you to stay late so I can pick up my friend at the airport; I've made arrangements with the boss to make the time up later. Give it a try.

Yes; I do have to accept Dylan's presence in public spaces, but it's your job as a... you know, parent to ensure that he doesn't act like a little turd.

So bring them to work, to the mall, to the restaurant, to the cinema... but make them behave; and if they don't behave, remove them until you get them under control.

Because, you know, common courtesy is also social and human.

As to what I "owe" you economically just because you spawned... hey; unless you're sending them to private school, I'm already paying to educate them... and you want more?
