She failed to take into account what kind of world children are born into now.
There are already too many children. That fact in itself makes children unneccessary. And since most (intelligent) people wait until a certain point of financial security before having children, that adds non-economical to the list.
So as things stand, children are a luxury item. Not inherently, but by default due to outside factors.
This doesn't make much sense, heres my opinion.

In answer to your question, she works at Harvard University, in the People's Republik of Kambridge, which is in the People's Republik of Marxachusetts. You don't need to be smart to earn a Ph.D. there; you just need to spout the right brand of whiny left-wing entitlement politics.
I've snarked at her before, on a different thread. She and her sycophants called me a "racist" and other predictable epithets because I stated, "Trash comes in all colors," and laughed at the idea that The Poor should be worshipped, as they seem to think. Sorry, I'll save my respect for the working class, not the "Jerry Springer" crowd or the "bourgeois bohemian" scum who romanticize them. Especially since their kids seem to be better-behaved than those of the other two parties.
They also referred to me as male, until I informed them otherwise. Is it just me, or if you're childfree with a handle that's not immediately sex-identifiable, people just ASSume you're male, because OMG A REAL WYMYN WUD WANT TEH BAYBEEEEEZ!!!?
