Why bother saving the world for your oversized brood?
If you have kids, and especially if you have THAT many kids, you obviously don't give a shit about the environment. Don't say otherwise.
Be "green," don't be "green," have kids, don't have kids, it's your choice. However, do NOT claim to be environmentalist in ANY way when you have children.

TRUE.
True.
True!
It's my first visit to your CF neck of the woods but I'll be back.

True. Reminds me of a couple, who lived in the Montreal metro area, worked from home, every store nearby, no need for a car. They called themselves green, were vegetarians and all about voluntary simplicity. As soon as their daughter was born, they bought a freakin' SUV!! I told them about it and said "when you have a child, you'll understand". What the... ?
PS I blogrolled you.
It's a good thing somebody's having kids because it's going to take 3 people to support each of the old fogies in the next generation who will be ponying up for that social security.
Why should we the Childfree live green and try to save the world from the certain destruction that those selfish breeders are going to cause with their irrosponsible breeding ? After all, we're not the ones whose children and grandchildren are going to live in it, because we're not going to have any. If they don't care about the future of their children, why should we?
Great blog! Thanks for your li'l island of sanity!
Dear god, this parent's 'tongue-in-cheek' idea of a Family-Class section on airplanes just made me shudder. http://www.tripso.com/traveler/a-totally-unrealistic-but-modest-proposal-%E2%80%94-family-class/
I am SO GLAD to be CF, and excited at the prospect of childfree vacations, such as my upcoming honeymoon in Iceland.
so true! people with children shouldn't be allowed to refer to themselves as "environmentalists." it seems like a lot of parents are always trying to justify their decision to have kids... although i don't know that they even see it as a "decision."
